We are now approaching the end of the School Summer holiday, and the harvest in the fields around Canal Farm is in full swing. It will not be long before our thoughts turn to the harvest festival season, and hopefully an Indian Summer. The blackberries and sloes are ripening, and we will soon be gathering these to make preserves to last us through the winter months.

It's a mystery! What has damaged one of the wind turbines at the
Conisholme windfarm which is close to Canal Farm? This story hit the
national media this week - amid speculation that the damage was caused
by UFO's. Strange balls of light have been seen in the area when the
turbine was damaged!
